Eva Neidlinger studied film directing at the film university babelsberg Konrad Wolf in Potsdam. Her films have been invited to numerous national and international film festivals. Participation in the dok.art script development program in 2023/2024 & 2024/2025 of the Drehbuchwerkstatt München and the into the wild mentoring program 2023/2024.

The special varieties of tomatoes in danger of rotting even though little Félie is caring for them with all her heart. Her mother Antonia, famous for selling the most delicious and unique tomatoes all over the country, has lost her sense of taste since her partner, Félie’s father, died.

Ever since the Euromaidan revolution in 2014, Valentyn's life has been moving in heavy swell. In his hometown in the east of Ukraine, he and his young team of activists are fighting against the Sowjet heritage of corruption. When Valentyn needs a break, he prepares for his third attempt to cross the Black Sea in his self-built kayak.

The island of Samos has long stood quietly at the crossroads between East and West. But for the past five years, little has changed. Refugees remain stuck in dire conditions, caught in political inaction from Brussels and Athens. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic and civil society pressure (#leavenoonebehind), no evacuation of the inhumane camps has occurred. Refugees feel forgotten, while local Greeks are left alone to manage an overwhelming situation. What once was solidarity is now turning into frustration and division. As locals strive to attract tourists to sustain their economy, stark contrasts emerge—revealing how European isolation policies determine who deserves so called paradise and who does not.
